Job Summary: We are seeking a UX Researcher with significant experience in the software industry, particularly within SaaS, to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead user research initiatives that shape the design and strategy of cutting-edge AI-driven SaaS products. You will drive product and design decisions through actionable research and ensure user-centered design, while integrating privacy and compliance regulations.
In this role, you will take ownership of end-to-end user research activities, collaborate across teams, and provide strategic thought leadership. You will be expected to present a 30, 60, and 90-day plan outlining your approach to research, and to provide multiple options for tackling complex challenges.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead End-to-End User Research : Own user research initiatives across the product lifecycle, from discovery and concept validation to usability testing. Ensure each phase is informed by a comprehensive understanding of user needs and behaviors.
- Drive Product Strategy : Use a blend of qualitative and quantitative research methods to identify user pain points, opportunities, and unmet needs, translating these insights into actionable recommendations that shape product strategy.
- Collaborate Across Teams : Work closely with Product Management, Design, Engineering, and other key stakeholders to integrate user insights into rapid product iterations. Act as a key contributor to roadmap discussions.
- Champion User-Centered Design : Advocate for user needs at all stages of product development, ensuring that products meet user expectations while complying with privacy and security regulations.
- Provide Strategic Leadership : Develop and present a 30, 60, and 90-day battle plan, outlining your approach to research priorities and key objectives. Use your strategic insights to offer solutions for complex UX challenges.
- Mentor and Influence : Lead by example, mentoring team members and guiding teams through the research process. Promote a culture of research-driven decision-making within the organization.
- Present to Senior Leaders : Present research findings and strategic insights to senior leadership, ensuring that UX research informs high-level decision-making and aligns with business goals.
- Synthesize and Communicate Insights : Present research findings through clear and compelling narratives that engage diverse stakeholders, ensuring informed decisions are made at all levels.
Qualifications: - 5+ years of hands-on UX research experience, with a focus on SaaS environments and a track record of delivering impactful research that drives product development.
- Expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, with the ability to design and execute research strategies that drive meaningful insights.
- Proven ability to lead research efforts in fast-paced, agile, or startup environments, thriving in dynamic and rapidly evolving contexts.
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to present complex findings clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Proven track record of influencing product and design decisions at the senior level, with a strong ability to integrate user insights into product strategy.
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities, with a collaborative approach to driving team success and alignment.
Nice to Have: - Experience with AI-driven products, particularly where user-centered design intersects with machine intelligence.
- Background in regulated industries such as healthcare, finance, or data privacy, with an understanding of how compliance impacts UX design.
- Experience scaling user research practices within SaaS platforms, collaborating with growing product teams, and leading cross-functional research strategies.
