Job Description

Nesco Resource is searching for a Material Handler / Delivery Assistant to join the team with one of our long-term clients in Lake Orion. The shift runs from 6 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Thursday. The pay rate is $21.00/hr.

• Load and unload delivery truck on assigned route
• Ensure product is delivered to customer within company quality standards
• Obtains customer signature as a verification of delivery or pick-up
• Receive, store, and distribute material, supplies, equipment and products within a warehouse using material handling equipment and manually
• Drive/operate material handling equipment
• Sort and place warehouse materials or items on racks, shelves, pallets or in bins according to predetermined sequence
• Assemble customer orders from the stock and places orders on pallets or shelves
• Perform cycle counts to verify accuracy of inventory information; maintains inventory records
• Uses computer to verify order information

• Forklift experience
• Must be a team player and exhibit a strong desire to learn and promote self-growth
• Organized and strong attention to detail
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, length, width, height, and depth.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with computers
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in varying weather extremes
